Peerless Hospitality Concepts, a family-owned restaurant group with a rich history in Tennessee dating back to 1938, is seeking passionate and experienced GRILL CHEFS to compliment our unique-concept, full-service, casual dining restaurant and bar, BURG'r & BARREL in a historic Johnson City location. Finer dining restaurant is planned for reopening next year.
As a GRILL CHEF you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional quality food to our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Batch cooking & kitchen prep duties
- Grill, Fry & Sauté various meats & other foods
- High-volume cooking with quality using all new kitchen equipment
- Prepare speciality dishes & sauces
- Present, garnish & arrange final dishes
- Replenish & requisition supply items daily
- Ensure ingredients & cooked dishes are fresh
- Handle & store ingredients
- Perform Grill area cleaning
- Follow & food safety & sanitation procedures
Qualifications:
- Possess good expertise in Grill & Fry Cooking
- Knowledge of keeping clean & safe work areas
- Ability to stand for long periods & lift up to 50 pounds
- Skills handling utensils, kitchen, knife skills & kitchen equipment
- Ability to use math skills to weigh, measure & mix ingredients according to recipes
- Knowledge & training of safe food handling

“It All Started In A Rambling Kitchen” in 1938, when the original Peerless opened in Downtown Johnson City. In 1960 the company branched out into commercial property management & development offering both exclusive retail & professional spaces. After nearly a century of serving the finest food in East Tennessee, we celebrated our culinary craft by opening BURG’r & BARREL in 2022 in our hometown historic train depot offering unique indoor/outdoor dining scenes & full bars. In 2023, we acquired MIMI's ICE CREAM & DESSERTS, with 2 dessert trucks, serving outside at BURG'r & BARREL & at events throughout the area. In 2024, we acquired Capelli Bei Salon & Suites which provides professional salon services.
